Talking Movement

Jett Movement Academy Podcast

Fitness is a big part of my life. I see it as a key piece of being healthy along with stress reduction, eating healthy, and getting enough sleep, and it is the piece that I am most consistent with on this list. I have been intentional about seaming movement into different aspects of my life so that it happens consistently. Through coaching, playing games, and regular workout routines, I get my body moving on some level most days of the week. I’m generally not training for anything specific I’m just trying to keep as fit as possible so that I can move through life.

A few months ago, I was chatting with Jeremy Hirschkorn, owner of Jett Movement Academy, and we got on the topic of movement. He, as a trainer, and I, as a coach, found that we are both passionate about helping people find ways to integrate more movement into their lives. While we don’t have the exact same approaches, I would say that our desired outcomes align. After a solid hour of chatting, we decided we should do it again soon and, this time, have it be a part of his podcast.

As life often goes, our plan to do it in a couple of weeks turned into a few months, but with summer winding down, we finally scheduled a time to chat. The podcast is up now and can be listened to here or through most podcast players. As we chatted, the time flew by, and it seemed like we could have talked all day about movement. If you give it a listen, I hope it inspires you to integrate more movement into your life, however that may look for you. We cover a lot of topics and go off on a few tangents, but the theme is fairly consistent throughout that there is no silver bullet to fitness, and there is no one way to do it. The important piece is to just move and then go from there.

The jury is still out on whether anyone will listen, but we enjoyed the chat and plan to do some more segments in the future and possibly in some different formats. If you enjoy the conversation and have something you would like to hear from us, please reach out and let us know and we will try and integrate it into our chats.
